Doig River First Nation​ has been proactively educating members of the public, government and industry on Treaty 8 for several years. We call this work "Honouring the Treaty". This effort by Doig is to educate the public, combat misinformation, dispel assumptions and to support reconciliation.

As Chief Trevor Makadahay​ states "We are all Treaty people". We are fortunate to have Allisun Rana our legal counsel present this workshop with the support of our community Elders.
